Ok, in my opinion mobile website are not the actual part of the main website (mobile website do not have same status as blog) so it is intelligent to go with sub domain but always keep the visitor’s sensor on so if they are coming from smart phone or ipad it should open a mobile website for them but if they are coming from desktop or laptop in that case it should be the main website for web.

Ok this is new to me! But I believe xml sitemap is normally used to tell Google about the navigation of the website and what URLs are present in the website so I personally believe 1 sitemap on the main domain should work!

But adding multiple sitemap to increase indexation and traffic is also not a bad idea! I believe this post by Kate Morris will help you alot!

I believe if you are building links the right way and promoting your brand as well you will see links coming to your home page automatically mostly because of your brand name visibility in the target market.

I believe you should focus on building links to pages that contain quality no matter if they are inner pages, non commercial pages or anything else...

If you compare 404pages with 301redirections I believe 301 is a better option and here is why!

When a visitor of your website reach to a page that is no more present on your website, they will find the 404 page which may leads the visitor to bounce from the website as usually 404 pages hurt user experience.

The idea is to 301 them to appropriate pages so that they never see any broken page on the website and can easily perform the desired actions while continuing their journey on the website.

This will also help increasing the time on site which will impact positively on your site nad rankings in search engines.

In my opinion this is very much depends upon what risks you are ready to take and how targeted people are going to react to it!

If you already have a stabled .com.ve website then my advice would be to go with separate domain that is .com.do instead of shifting to .com with country level sub folders!

Here the reasons why you should do that!

• Shifting from one domain to another will lose some of your page rank no matter if you do a proper 301 redirect!
• Shofting from .com.ve to .com/ve might hurt your rankings in search engines (no hard hit but still)
• You never know how .com.ve people will react to the new domain!
• Local domains build more trust!

Above are the reasons why i believe you should not switch to the .com versions. If this was the new website then i would have advised to go for single domain but in your case the %age of risk is greater!

I agree with Paul, The Google is re indexing the pages because you have few linking pointing back to these sub domains. The best idea us to restrict Google crawler by using no-index , no-follow tag and remove the instruction available in the robots.txt...

This way Google will neither crawl nor follow the activity on the page and it will get permanently remove from Google Index.
