Is there a way to get the domain authority of a subdomain?

For example, www.storage-mart.com and us.storage-mart.com both show the same DA in OSE. I believe it's the DA of the root domain. How can I compare the DA of the 'www' and 'us' subdomains?

Hey guys, thanks for your responses. Running a comparison and looking at Page Authority and Subdomain Mozrank gives me exactly what I need. I just want to be able to see which is stronger, and this does a good job of telling me.

I agree with Moosa, but it may make sense to also look at mozrank for the subdomain - OSE calls it subdomain mozrank, which would look at the strength of the whole subdomain. you can also look at the number of linking root domains and followed linking root domains, compare that to the total numbers for the domain, and determine how much of the overall strength of the domain authority is resultant from the particular subdomain you're looking at. Those are just my theories, but to me it makes sense

Yes, currently unsupported according to help source document on the subject. I believe it's an area of SEO that justifies separate scoring. Of course, analytic software would provide its own metrics.

I don’t think there is a way to get the DA of a sub-domain as sub domains are the part of the overall domain and this is why it contains the same domain authority as the main.
The way to check the power of the sub-domain should be checked by PA in my opinion (for that URL only). I do understand that Google count sub domains as a separate entity but i don’t think this leads to have a different DA of a sub-domain then the main domain.
Just my opinion!

It is not a Google ranking factor. Domain Authority scores range from one to 100, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. Since DA is based on machine learning calculations, your site's score will often fluctuate as more, fewer, or different data points become available and are incorporated into those calculations. For instance, if facebook.com were to acquire a billion new links, every other site’s DA would drop relative to Facebook’s. Because more established and authoritative domains like Facebook will have increasingly larger link profiles, they take up more of the high-DA slots, leaving less room at the higher end of the scale for other domains with less robust link profiles. Therefore, it's significantly easier to grow your score from 20 to 30 than it is to grow it from 70 to 80. For this reason, it’s important to use Domain Authority as a comparative metric rather than an absolute one. Automatically Check List of Sites For Links To Specific Domain
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a tool that will allow me to put in a list of about 200 domains that are then checked for a link back to a specific domain? I know I can do various link searches and use Google site: command on a site by site basis, but it would be much quicker if there was a tool that could take the list of domains I am expecting a link on and then find if that link exists and if so on what page etc. Hope this makes sense otherwise I have to spend a day doing it by hand - not fun! When I crawl my site as a root domain, I get more errors is my campaign than when I set my site as a sub domain. Which one is the correct way: root domain or subdomain. My site is www.aa-rental.com

I'm analyzing a site and the page authority is the exact same for every page in the site. How can this be since the page authority is supposed to be unique to each page?

Batch lookup domain authority on list of URL's?
I found this site the describes how to use excel to batch lookup url's using seomoz api. The only problem is the seomoz api times out and returns 1 if I try dragging the formula down the cells which leaves me copying, waiting 5 seconds and copying again. This is basically as slow as manually looking up each url. Does anyone know a workaround?

How fast can page authority be grown
I understand that it is easier to rank for a particular keyword given a higher DA score. How fast can page authority be established and grown for a given keyword if DA is equal to 10/20/30/50? What are the relative measures that dictate the establishment and growth of this authority? Can it be enumerated to a percentage of domain links? or a percentage of domain links given an assumed C-Block ratio? For example you have a website with DA of 40, and you want to target a new keyword, the average PA of the top ranked pages is 30, the average domain links are 1,000, and the average number of linking domains is 250 - if you aim to build 1,000 links per month from 500 linking domains, how fast can you approximate the establishment of page authority for the keyword?

Spam Directories creating misleading Authority ratings
How does the website www.starsdirectory.com.ar get a Domain Authority of 54 and a Page Authority of 61 when Google quite correctly gives it a PR 0? It is clearly a spam directory, which Google has recognised. It is very misleading using OSE or Campaign Management when sites such as these (and there are hundreds more we have found) are skewing the results of competitiors through the use of spam links. Is there no way that SEOMoz tools can identify such spam sites when they create their ratings?
