Landing page separate from product page

Hello there, I have a wordpress website with a woocommerce plugin.
I have 4 landing pages that describe my products and at the end of the pages, I have a CTA to my product page. is it bad for SEO?

From my perspective, this may be a very good strategy, and not a problem. It depends why you have 4 landing pages though.
I see you linked your site, but I'm instead going to answer more generically, at least in part since I don't read or speak the language of your site.
Let's hypothetically say you sell a type of day planner. And you've optimized your product page for the query "day planner". But you know that your day planner is highly relevant to teachers, personal trainers, doctors, and lawyers. You might want 4 very specific landing pages, targeting phrases like "day planners for teachers", with content on those pages which resonates with and helps teachers to understand how your one day planner would be great for their needs. And a separate page for the personal trainers, and for the doctors, and for the lawyers.
Your product page might rank best for "day planner", but one of your landing pages might rank best for "day planners for teachers".
And I think that's a valid strategy. As opposed to trying to get one page to rank well for all 4 of those audiences, which may also be a valid strategy. I've seen each of those strategies work, in different situations. It very much depends on the competition around your listings, and how they are targeting the audiences (or not), in terms of which is a better strategy (one page with multiple targeted queries, vs 4 pages with individual targeted queries).

What actions to take will depend on the purpose of the landing pages. The only common SEO risk to having multiple landing pages on your site is having them marked as duplicate.
If the landing pages are on the same topic and the content and meta are similar, then google can sometimes mark the pages as duplicate and not index them. What you should do in that case is to add a canonical tag on the landing pages referring to the main product page. That way the landing pages transfer their authority to the main product page and support its growth.
If the landing pages have a different topic, target different keywords, have different titles and meta-s, then there is no problem having multiple landing pages, and you can continue growing them through SEO. As for the CTA, it doesn't make much of a difference SEO-wise.

It's bad for SEO because Google might start ranking your landing pages instead of the actual product pages. Since it would take a user fewer clicks to convert from the product pages (shorter user journey) you really want to think - do I need these special landing pages? If my product pages aren't ranking, why? How can I take the best parts of my new landing pages and my product pages, and make one super product page that 'just works' for everyone?
Usually when people start producing additional versions of the same page, it's because something about their website or product template isn't wrong. Do you want multiple averagely ranking pages, or fewer pages which rank more highly? The second option there (smaller footprint better ranking positions), is almost always better. To some degree, when you start writing loads of different pages about the same thing it's a form of 'giving up' on the original, instead of working hard to fix it up. It seldom yields good results
There is a caveat here. Sometimes you might create landing pages which exist for other traffic sources - other than SEO. You might create PPC landing pages or FaceBook Ads landing pages, which are highly tailored to your paid ads. That's fine and you should create paid landing pages, but you shouldn't make them accessible to your normal users or allow them to be indexed on Google

I have taken over a project and this account, so can't change the username according to MOZ.🙃 We run an eCommerce website, and to me, some of the content is conflicting as some pages have more information content than what I would put in a commerce page, but this is how the boss wants it to work, personally, I would separate the content out.

https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/125-15.html I was tasked to improve SEO ranking, when using the MOZ page grader I had a score of 24 out of 27 83% SEO score and 3-page problems. 7th position in Google for the search term 205/70 R14 As it is a generic product listing page, It was pointless to add to the URL and the Internal links I can't reduce as these are links to products, so I went to reduce the
keyword stuffing and making the page content more natural, this improved the page to 25 out of 27, 87% SEO score and 2-page problems. Improvement to 3rd position in Google, but he wants to chase 1st place to be above his competitors, which is fair enough. It turns out that in the past, they have used this type of page to try and get a high ranking for several search terms, as it is a different variation on a tyre size terms are:
205/70 R14, 205/70R14, 205/70 R 14
205/70 X 14, 205/70X14, 205/70 X14
and so on for all the different ways you can search for this tyre size. He is also convinced Google will see these as different search terms, and while I agree to an extent, this causes Keyword Stuffing on the page, which in turn was harming the rankings. Each product listed on the page already has its own title 205/70 R14, 205/70 HR14 and so on, so my question is. What is the best practice for writing content on these types of pages to gain high rankings for several Keywords, and what value does writing the same keyword with spaces and no spaces have? Any help or advice is welcome, so I have a better understanding of how to approach this for this page and the rest of the site. Cheers Mal0 -

So I would like a few opinions. How long should a product description be? Enough to get the point across? 100 words? 800 words? Over detailed? Any advice would be appreciated.

301 Redirect or landing page
Hi everyone. I'm currently doing some SEO for a client, at the moment he has some landing pages which are categorised, but the category is set as a 302 redirect. I have a dilemma whether to 301 redirect to the landing page or make a page for each category. The link structure is as follows - http://examplesite.co.uk/products/fire/company-1/product/ so currently this is set as a 302 redirect - http://examplesite.co.uk/products/fire/company-1/ Do I make this page a category page and link the page to the children with some on-page optimisation or 301 redirect it?

How do you make product pages unique when there are thousands of products?
When an ecommerce site has 200 product pages, this is fine. It's time consuming, but I can write 200 unique paragraphs describing the product and it's not an insane amount of work for one person. But when there are 10,000+ product pages... what is the best way for one person to go about this? Risk the page being thin and just bullet point a couple of "need-to-know" info bits, or take the time to prioritise what products could benefit the most from the unique content and get cracking with a paragraph for each? Or do you just forego having truly unique copy on each product page and just aim to optimise the category pages for the longtail? Just wondering how you guys deal with thousands of product pages really. Starting to feel as if I should re-evaluate my strategy and wanted to get some idea on what others are doing... Notes: Product pages already have reviews, helps with adding more unique user-generated content to each page. There's dynamic content e.g. "You may be interested in...", "Related products", etc.

How do I fix duplicate page issue on Shopify with duplicate products because of collections.
I'm working with a new client with a site built on Shopify. Most of their products appear in four collections. This is creating a duplicate content challenge for us. WordPress and category/subcategory landing pages
Hey, Here's my situation. I'm building a WordPress blog for product reviews of a certain niche. Current category setup is 4 main categories with 4-8 subcategories each. Each subcategory has a unique description that will help it become a landing page for certain keywords, after which it lists the posts from that subcategory. The posts will always be assigned to a sub-category, never to a main category. My issue is what to do with the main categories. They're fairly general so they're not really targeting any keywords, and don't have any unique descriptions attached to them. I was thinking of choosing between three options on designing the main category pages: List the subcategories + normal posts loop that bring the latest posts from the subcategories (may create a lot of duplicate content since the subcategory pages are also listing their posts) List only the subcategories (+ maybe just the latest post from each subcategory) Don't link the main categories at all, instead only use them to create dropdowns for the subcategories So, what would you choose, and why?

ECommerce Product Meta Descriptions vs. Product Descriptions
Wondering if using on-page product descriptions as the individual product meta descriptions is a best practice for an eCommerce site? Instead of writing two product descriptions (one regular and one meta), I am thinking if the product copy is SEO rich, we'd be good to use just the one for both purposes. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Seems that many companies follow this practice. Thanks!
